Whale Watching Augusta

Araluen Botanical Park is a unique world class park of great natural beauty and tranquility. Volunteers plant over 50,000 bulbs yearly. Pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it, before exploring Dawsons Nursery – advanced trees, azaleas, camellias, roses, potted colour, herbs, indoor plants etc. Plenty of room under the coach for purchases.

Day 1. Home—Cervantes (L/D)
Welcome aboard. Join us as we go north to seek the sun. We depart on Freeway via Indian Ocean Drive to arrive at the Gingin Discovery Centre for Lunch and a Tour. Then we are off to visit the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. A desert area spotted with many ancient rock pillars. What is not as well-known as the Pinnacles is the Lake Thetis which has one of the five only known ancient living Stromatolite colonies in the world. Stay overnight at Cervantes Motel.
Day 2. Cervantes—Kalbarri (B/D)
After a lovely cooked breakfast we travel north to Dongara and on to Geraldton to take in the Maritime Museum. Enjoy stories of the Abrolhos Islands, which are told in the shipwreck gallery. BYO LUNCH. We visit the HMAS Sydney Lookout on route via Northampton Pink Waters at Port Gregory and on to Kalbarri. Stay overnight at the Palm Resort Motel with dinner and breakfast in Kalbarri.
Day 3 Kalbarri (B/L/D)
After our breakfast we head off to Murchison House Station for a look around and Morning Tea. Tour the Kalbarri National Park and see Murchison River Gorge flow through the Z Bend, Skywalk, Natures Window, Hawkes Head and Ross Graham Lookout stopping for lunch along the way. Stay overnight at Palm Resort Motel with Dinner and Breakfast once again in Kalbarri.
Day 4 Kalbarri—Carnarvon (B/L/D)
We continue our northerly Travel over the Murchison River at Galena Bridge via Billabong Roadhouse and onto Overlander Roadhouse and Wooramel. Then on to Carnarvon, which was founded in 1883, as a port, and was named after Henry Herbert, 4th Earl of Carnarvon. See the banana plantations that exist on the fertile river flats and stay overnight at Carnarvon.
Day 5 Carnarvon (B/L/D)
After breakfast we head off to the Carnarvon Jetty Complex. Then a trip to the Carnarvon Space Station. We travel to the Blowholes and have our lunch.
After lunch we will return to Carnarvon via the Bibbawarra Artesian Bore. It was discovered in 1905 when looking for coal and has a temperature of 68 degrees. The depth is 914 metres.
Day 6 Carnarvon-Exmouth (B/L/D)
Journey north to Minilya, as we make our way to Coral Bay. Being one of the world’s largest and accessible coral reefs, which fringes on the Ningaloo reef. After lunch, delight in the underwater world as we take a glass bottom boat tour and then depart to Exmouth to the Pot Shot Motel.
Day 7 Exmouth (B/L/D)
We visit Milyering Eco Centre, within the Cape Range National Park. Then join the Yardie Creek boat Cruise, have lunch in the Cape Range National Park. Visit the Ningaloo Aquarium & Discovery Visitor Centre and visit the Vlamingh Head Lighthouse. Back to our Motel (Pot Shot)
Day 8 Exmouth—Karijini (B/L/D)
After the pristine Exmouth turquoise beauty of the coastal region, the rugged vibrant
colours of the desert will astound you. We make our way to the North West Coastal Highway and the Yannarie River and on to Nanutarra heading east towards House Creek Rest area for lunch before continuing on to the mining town of Tom Price and on to Karijini National Park to the Karijini Eco Lodge for our overnight stay.
Day 9 Karijini to Newman (B/L/D)
After breakfast we visit Oxer Lookout to see the magnificent views and then on to Joffre Falls Lookout, with morning tea at Knox Gorge. We have lunch at Karijini Visitor‘s Centre. After lunch we leave for Fortescue Falls and Circular Pool. We then depart for Newman stopping for afternoon tea along the way.
Overnight at Seasons Motel Newman.
Day 10 Newman–Cue (B/L/D)
After breakfast we are off to the Lookout to see the view of Newman and then to the Newman Visitor Centre. We make our way to Capricorn Road House and then to Kumarina Road House for lunch. We travel passed Well 25 (a watering point for the cattle in the old days) and then head on down thru Meekatharra to Cue, where gold was discovered in 1892 and the town was named after an early prospector, Tom Cue. Lake Austin and the town are both named after surveyor Robert Austin, who was the first European to explore and chart the area in 1895Overnight at Queen of the Murchison Hotel in Cue.
Day 11 Cue–Dalwallinu (B/L/D)
This morning a quick tour of the town before heading to Mount Magnet which is an old gold rush town and Robert Austin named the Hill as consequence of the magnetic properties of rocks at the summit. Tour of Mount Magnet Mining and Pastoral Centre which is part of the Mount Magnet Visitor Centre. We will make our way via Yalgoo to Pindar to see the Wreath Flowers. We travel to Mullewa, Morawa, and Perenjori to our overnight stay at Dalwallinu Motel.
Day 12 Dalwallinu – Home (B/L)
We pack up for the last day tour through Wongan Hillis, for morning tea and explore the visitor centre Passing through Goomalling on our way to the Avon Valley home to Ballooning and our last lunch in Northam. Welcome back to the South West and thank you for travelling with us. “au revoir”
